You would often think of summer being the best months for sex. Usually you’d be right as the rays make people wear less, see more and want more. The hungry desire for some hot sex in the summer is present in most of our lives. Yet what about the other months? What about the colder months of the year? Surprisingly these are some of the hottest months for sex with women’s libidos in particular charging ahead at full steam. So what exactly is it about autumn and winter that inspires this particular phenomenon?
What Happens
1. Testosterone Levels Increase
This applies to both men and women. The hormone that drives our mating instinct goes into overdrive in the autumn months with men and women getting the strong desire to fuck like bunnies.
2. You are more attractive
That’s not poetic license – during the autumn months you really do become more attractive to the opposite sex with the increase in testosterone contributing to that fact.
3. Women are at prime fertility
This goes some way in explaining the female increase in libido. Ironically sperm counts in men are at their lowest due to the hot summer months. Just remember to use condoms!
4. Love is in the air
More breaks ups and hook ups happen in the summer that at any other time. Whilst hook ups continue in the autumn months, break ups become less and less. Hormones are in the air.
5. Feeling cold activates a yearning for body warmth
The colder it gets the more we want the comfort of another person’s body. This leads to increases in date nights and long warm sex sessions in front of a fire.
6. Food turns you on
More accurately; hot food turns us on more in the autumn. The whiff of steak or stews or pies gets us all thrusting our hands down our boxers or panties. Again the hormone levels go off the charts.
7. Sexual Anticipation is Renewed
Summer is usually when things slow down (as well as speed up if you’re on holiday), so when you return to the day to day life, your sexual appetite is stronger. You are hungrier for sex.
